Webster’s where are you?

I got an email from the HR department at work today, a grand total of one baffling line.
We have noticed that you have not responded to the anonymous survey, please so do at once.
Ummmm….right. You noticed that I, specifically, I, did not respond to the “anonymous” survey eh? Maybe we need to go over what anonymous actually means.
I asked some of my coworkers, none of them got emails about not filling out the “anonymous” survey unless they of course, hadn’t filled it out. Not so anonymous after all…

little red dot
November 10, 2006 · 7 Comments
Remember the CBC documentary called Little Red Dot about the East Indian diaspora? Well this post has nothing to do with that.
This little red dot is ATTACHED to me. Its on my face. Between my eyebrows, above my nose. I’m Indian. See the problem?
It seems to be quite happy with where it is and has no desire to leave. I’ve tried creams, pretending, zappers, prayers to the MakeThisZitGoAway deities….
Alas….there has been no progress. So here I am wandering the world looking like a conservative, traditional, non-beef eating, Hindu wife.

save a horse, ride a cowboy

Cowboys are hot. Musicians are also hot. Therefore, musicians who are also cowboys are uberhot. Mel and I were at the superfuncoolawesome Rascal Flatts concert on Wednesday night and let me tell you its true. I didn’t know that they all sang, I thought it was just one main singer. But they all sing! The blond guitarist…oooooh so hot! He’s the one who sings “Cool Thing” and was in faded jeans, a white shirt and a back vest with tussled hair. Excuse me, I’m drooling.
It was an awesome show, Gary Allan opened for them and I LOVE GARY ALLAN. He’s hot too. He’s definately not the boy your parents ever would want to see at the door though, he’s tattooed, chugs beer and is pure sex appeal. Although his music is total melt-your-heart-sweet. *sigh* Oh and Taylor Swift opened for the opening act. I had no idea who she was before the show but now I’ve got her song “Tim McGraw” on the playlist.
A girl at work gave me her tickets to the Just for Laughs comedy show so tomorrow night I’m off to Just for Laughs with Bordine and that should be a fabulous time! I can’t wait!

All Hallows’ Eve
November 1, 2006 · 2 Comments
Halloween…I always thought it was such an odd “holiday”. For children though I completely understand the lure of it. You get to go all the things you’re not allowed to the rest of the year. Go out at night. Roam the streets. Knock on people’s doors and demand things. Take candy from strangers. Make sure nobody can recognize you when you take candy from strangers. Make yourself sick on said candy. Or you know, give it to me seeing as how I am too old/busy/important to go trick-or-treating.
On another note, Sarah throws fantabulous parties! She and Jamie built an Eiffel Tower (to scale) out of cardboard, over five feet tall and lit it up! It was awesome! Quiches, champagne, croissants…. we were more French than Quebec is! The rest of us realized how screwed we are when Jamie proposes because we can’t even pretend to build a damn thing. Thus, he is not allowed to propose near any semblance of a landmark! Sarah understands this and has agreed to run away should they be near landmarks and it seems as though Jamie might be hitting one knee.
Tomorrow is RASCAL FLATTS!!!! WOOOOOO! Melinda and I have been looking forward to this concert for ever and ever…I’m super duper excited! Midterms are done now but its assignment hell…*sigh*. As much as I don’t like knowing that when I leave work I have more work to do in the end I know its good for me. Kinda like cough syrup. Aside from the time it takes I’m glad to be back in school, my brain was starting to rot and I swear I was getting dumber by the day. Lets be honest…I don’t have far to slip.
