Once Upon Stilettos

This & That

Ladies and gentlemen I’d like to introduce Bubba. Bubba, meet people. Obviously, Bubba is my phone and not a pitbull. *shrug* It seemed like a good name for something pink and kinda cute. My mom and I went shopping on Saturday for a couple hours and, as with everything, she was absolutely certain we are not related. She bought a white cotton blouse and a black button down shirt while I traded in Chip (my old pink phone) for Bubba and bought a leopard print clutch. She feels her purchases are useful and practical while mine are not. I disagree. As if a leopard print clutch isn’t uberuseful!

In Other News, my good friend and pretend-cousin is getting married this weekend. *tears* I am ridiculously happy for her, she is an amazing girl and deserves nothing but the best life has to offer. Oh, yeah, and he’s a really great guy. It’s a traditional, five day Indian wedding and so I’ve been super busy with dance practices, prep, little things that have to be done before. I’ve spent lots of time with our other pretend-cousins and we’ve been having a blast wrapping the favors, looking up henna designs, having sleepovers which leave us all very tired at work…

In more Other News, I just bought a stack of books from Amazon which will make their arrival at my house soon. I’m looking forward to it. Among my purchases: My Cousin Rachel, Frenchman’s Creek, Infidel, and A Thousand Spendid Suns, andA Long Way Gone.

Still more Other News, one of my coworkers (a non-singing one) come to my desk today to ask me if he had done something to make me switch desks….meanwhile I’ve been sitting in this desk in this very spot for months. No wonder I am always so confused at work…what with Apple Time and the singing

Yet more Other News I have decided I have broken my toe. In the millions of hours of dance practice I have put in this last week I seem to have a consistent ache/pain/unpleasant feeling happening in my toe. So. I have, with all my medical knowledge and flair for the dramatic, decided its broken. The solution, in my medical opinion, is a pedicure.
