Go Leafs G—*cough*

March 25, 2008 · 10 Comments

As per Kenneth’ssuggestion in my last post I am going to experimentally name the boy Toast. I’m hoping that might convince him to change his commenting restrictions because some of us, i.e. me, haven’t a google account and password and just read his blog without being able to leave anything for him.

So Toast and I have tickets to the Leafs game tonight, we both love hockey and somehow this is the first game of the season I’ll be seeing live. As the season is wrapping up right now every one of these last six games is crucial, we’re facing Boston back to back and we have to come out on top. And our seats? KICK ASS!

Toast and I have a great date planned, we’re going out for Thai and then to the game. Should be a good time.

Except I woke up this morning feeling like I’d caught death. I’m at work and people are scared to come near me. I think I need to go home.

A Keeper

March 24, 2008 · 13 Comments

Having come to my senses and realized that the issues I have with the boy are MY issues, MY crazy and my own absolute ridiculousness and stupidity I decided to enjoy spending time with this wonderful guy who treats me like a princess.

Introducing a guy to my friends is a big deal for me; it means I am planning on keeping him around for more than three months. I brought him to my friend’s birthday celebrations at one of my favorite bars. My high school friends, who have seen twelve years of boyfriends come and go, absolutely love him. One wants to start setting up double dates.

We left the bar early to go home, put on pajamas and order pizza. He took my shoes off for me because I was having too much trouble with them.

He thinks I’m cute when I wake up with bedhead and last night’s makeup all over my face….but that might have been because I made him cinnamon french toast for breakfast. We spent all of Sunday in (and out of) our pajamas lounging around my apartment doing nothing more productive than washing the dishes. He tried to convince me basketball is a sport and that it’s worth watching (it’s not), and realized how hopeless a cause it was when I fell asleep halfway through the game.

He needs a nickname for the purposes of this blog…suggestions?

Sweet Dreams Are Made of These…

March 11, 2008 · 15 Comments

I believe in love at first sight. I believe that after one short glance you can be haunted ever after by etheral beauty.

Last week I was at a higher end mall in the city, with the New Boy, and for just a moment my eyes paused on absolute divine perfection. I’ve been having dreams about it since.

My love? Rose pink, snakeskin, peeptoe stilettos by Giuseppe Zanotti.

Unfortunately they cost more than my rent so I shall have to adore them from afar.

The Cat in The Hat

March 7, 2008 · 14 Comments

There’s a really nice English pub about a five minute walk from where The Boy and I work and it just so happens to serve fantastic pub grub and have just about everything on tap. That last detail is important because the Leafs are are having a rough season.

During dinner I discovered something alarming about him…he’d never read Dr. Seuss. Ever. Not The Cat in The Hat…not One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish…not evenGreen Eggs and Ham…nothing.

So after dinner and some shenanigans wandering around downtown we found ourselves in a bookstore, in the children’s section, reading The Cat in the Hat…

And now the time has come to ponder what football will be like without Favre…
